AURORA is a action platformer/rogue-like game, designed for the players that are looking for a challenge. Apart from killing the enemies that try to stop Frost on his way to the end, the player also has to defeat all the bosses and resolve all the levels, which have a puzzle-like resemblance.
No level in AURORA is like any other else. The algorythm created especifically for this game allows the player to enjoy a different experience every time the console is turned on.
Every level is a new challenge in itself. Do you want to exceed your own limits? Do you enjoy getting better every time? In AURORA, the goal is to allow the difficulty to be the best part during the gameplay.
If you have always enjoyed other titles like Megaman X, Bloodborne or The Binding of Isaac, this is the game for you. Aside from the difficulty that the challenges offer, those titles have the sense of nostalgia on their insides: the perfection that were made with is the same that we are using to forge the inside of AURORA.
AURORA is an idea of and is developed by Domingos Pita, Ricardo Coelho and Bruno Patriota, members of Sunken Ship Software team.
AURORA gets the feeling of a single hero, Frost, that has to defeat all the monsters. Through different actions, combining melee attacks and the use of weapons, the player must finish the level. During the gameplay, the player will also enjoy the art of the different elements on the screen, as well as the structure of the different levels. The factor of randomness in the composition of levels adds an unique constituent for the enjoyment of the player.
Although there is an important weight on the factor of challenge, the controls are intended to be used by any kind of player. The idea with the simplicity implied in the controls supposes an offer for all the possible players to enjoy AURORA as it is.
